To use Adding Positive and Negative Integers, click the "Start" button. Input the numbers in the text box and then click the "check" button to see if the answer is correct. Try answering the questions using a regrouping strategy.
Interactive Calculator lets students practice addition with integers using a calculator. To use Interactive Calculator, click the "+/-" button to after you enter a number to change the sign to negative. Click the "+" button before you enter the next number in the equation. Click the "=" button to complete the equation. For example, to calculate the sum of (+23) + (-12) + (+16), enter the first number in the equation, 23, and click the "+" button. Enter the second number, 12, and then click the "+/-" button to change the sign to negative. Click the "+" button and enter the third number, 16. Click the "=" button to complete the calculation. |
