To encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about Tessellating Design, here are some games and interactive activities they can do on their own or in pairs. M.C. Escher - Metamorphose lets your child observe tessellating designs by M.C Esher. To use M.C. Escher - Metamorphose, move the slider to start the movement of the images.
Shmuzzle Puzzle prompts your child to create and fit together irregular tessellating tiles. To use Shmuzzle Puzzle, drag a turtle (Shmuzzle) into the workspace. Click the Shmuzzle to spin it around. Fit them together to create a tessellating design.
Puzzle Parlor is a series of games that helps your child flip and turn shapes to make a pattern. To use Puzzle Parlor, click on a piece to drag it to a location inside the tray. Click on it again to drop the piece in location. Press a right key arrow to rotate the piece and a left-key arrow to flip the piece. There are several games for your child to select. They range in difficulty. Try all of them. |
