Use the following interactive activities to encourage your child to have fun on the Web while learning about frequency tables and stem-and-leaf plots. To use Frequency Tables, use data from the line plot graph and input it into the frequency table. Click the "SHOW ANSWERS" button to see the correct answers. Complete the questions on frequency tables, and click the "SOLUTION" button to check the answers.
Stem-and-Leaf Plotter lets your child analyze sets of data to find the mean, median, and mode. To use Stem-and-Leaf Plotter, start entering data to be plotted in the lower left text box. Use only whole numbers between 0 and 999, and separate each numbers with a space or a comma. Click the "Update Plot" button to display the data as a stem-and-leaf plot. Display the data either vertically or horizontally by clicking the pull-down menu and selecting an option. After the data has been entered, input the mean, median, and mode of the data in the three text boxes. If there is more than one mode, separate the answers with spaces or commas. Click the "Check Answers" button to see if the answers are correct. Click the "Show Answers" button to see the correct answers. |
