Instructions for Use

Factor Tree lets your child identify common factors, greatest common factor and least common multiples.

To use Factor Tree, click the "New Problem" button. Type a factor in the text box and press "Enter". Repeat to find all the prime factors. Then drag the common prime factors into the green zone of the Venn diagram. Place all other factors in the matching colour regions. Then enter the greatest common factor (GCF), and the least common multiple (LCM) in the text boxes. Press the "Check" button to see if the answers are correct.

 

Greatest Common Factors lets your child determine the greatest common factors of whole numbers.

To use Greatest Common Factors, find the greatest common factor of the numbers shown. Three possible answers are given at the bottom of the screen. Click the correct answer.

To use Greatest Common Factor, scroll down and click the "Start" button. Enter the numbers that represent the greatest common factor in the text box next to the Check button. Click the "Check" button to see if the answer is correct.

 

Factoring Calculator lets your child find the factors of any whole number.

To use Factoring Calculator, enter a whole number in the text box and click the "Find Factor!" button.
