Lesson 1 - Using Multiples

 

Use the following interactive games and activities to encourage students to have fun on the Web while learning about multiples. Students can do these activities on their own or in pairs.

Identify multiples, common multiples, and least common multiple of whole numbers.

Instructions for Use

Multiples lets students identify sets of multiples up to 100.

 

To use Multiples, move the pointer over a number below "View Multiples" to see the number's multiples on the grid. Click "?" beside "multiples question" to select a question. Answer the question by clicking the correct numbers on the grid. When all the questions are answered, a bonus question appears. Answer the bonus question correctly to win.

 

IntegerZone lets students identify multiples of whole numbers.

To use IntegerZone, click "Press me to enter the IntegerZone". Under "Topic" use the pull-down menu to find "Multiples", and under "Mode " use the pull-down menu to find "explore". Click on any number in the grid to find the multiples of the number.

 

Least Common Multiple lets students determine the least common multiple of two numbers.

 

To use Least Common Multiple, scroll down the page and click the "Start" button. Type the correct numbers in the text box next to the Check button. Click the "Check" button to see if the answer is correct.
